Here is a formal update on the lawsuit against prominent Georgia minister, Bishop Eddie Long. The accusations first filed in a lawsuit against Bishop Eddie Long of Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, included only 2 alleged victims. Maurice Robinson and Anthony Flagg. The two men claimed the minister had long manipulated and coerced them into inappropriate relationships including various acts of sex with him. The alleged victim count has now grown to 4 young men against Eddie Long, whose legal representatives vehemently and categorically deny the accusations.
Bishop Long heads not only a very prominent congregation, often referred to as a "mega" church, but is also well known across the country for his anti-gay marriage efforts.The Bishop's pursuits and achievements clearly indicate the inappropriateness to be involved in any of the behaviors he is being accused of.
Pictures of the minister "swagged out" and posing in a bathroom mirror while snapping shots of himself with his iphone, were submitted along with the lawsuits from the young men. Apparently Bishop Long messaged the pictures to the young men to gaze upon and think of him when not in his presence. Although this is no crime, the pictures suspiciously appear as those you would send to a significant other, definitely not a congregation. Furthermore, the bishop flexes in a manner to intentionally highlight his muscular physique, including oiled biceps! Although are judicial system deems every man innocent until proven guilty, things are looking a bit grim for the minister at this point. What are your thoughts?

This is nothing new, pastors and ministers in the black church abroad are doing this. Check for instance Bishop Alfred Owens of Mt. Calvary he too is an in the closet gay african american and his wife Suzie is aware. Visit the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Washington DC. Most of the ministers and male choir are full of gay african american males who sleep and maintain sexual relations amongst each other. This is nothing new in the Black Church. Check out Pastor Joseph Howard of New Life International Ministries who has a live in male lover and was once the presiding pastor over the youth. Again, this is nothing new!
Well said anonymous! This is not new or shocking. Many are shocked because the put too much faith in people to be perfectly what they represent. However that is not how spirituality works. In ones spiritual walk there are those how teach the knowledge but that doesn't make them without fault. thank you for sharing.

it shows u that he is a HUMAN...and a man...it is not saying if he is gay or has gay tendencies..just know that the only person he has to answer to is GOD...for he will be punished..the lord only let u do things for so long and if u do not change he will change them for u..SO HE IS SHOWING US THE EDDIE LONG HAS a problem that he never fixed

No, he has to give an account to the church, as well. Also, I hear all this talk about praying for "THE BISHOP" Pray for what! The bible says, "confess your faults one to another that ye may be healed. " The healing may begin, once confession is made. Do I believe "HE" did it? To early to tell. However, I stopped watching him long ago. It looks ridicously and carnal to see a man of the cloth exposing his flesh. He has a wife, that should be for her eyes, he appears to portray himself as a sex symbol, not preferring the other women or possible men lovers in the church. Bishop should cover his flesh when bringing forth the Word, especially.
If I weren't guilty, the first order of business would have been to proclaim to the world my innocence. At no time, did he say, I'm innocent, I did not do it. None of us are perfect and should sit in condemnation of others; however, those kids ARE NOT LYING!
Those "KIDS" probably had this planned from the beginning! Kids are as manipulative as adults these days! I don't put anything past anybody! Preachers, Bishops, Teachers, Lawyers, Doactors, Nurses, Principles, Athletes, The President, etc.
Yes Annette I said the same thing, he said " I never said I was perfect, but I'm gonna fight this" nothing in that says " I didn't do it" Screams I did it but I'm gonna fight it anyway cause maybe my money will buy me out of it.
Well, I am besides myself! I don't know what to think! However I will not judge this human being. We all error, but in his position he should have been very careful and cautious of what he was doing. As someone mentioned in another comment, ELong will have to give an account for what he has done if proven guily and face judgement from the Almighty! He will still have faithful followers and a prosperous church b/c he has thought them to forgive and move on!!!

If Eddie Long, a Pimp, and a Drug Dealer were all standing next to thier cars, you wouldn't know who was who and that is a shame.
