Late Wednesday Elaine Munch of Metroplex Animal Coalition and a Police Sgt. with the Neighborhood Patrol spoke via phone with the pastor of Cochran Chapel United Methodist Church, As a result of that conversation as well as calls, emails and the threat of a protest on Sunday, the Pastor decided to allow feeders and trapping/catch teams to be on Church property to try to get the dog safely into custody.
Mrs. Munch expressed her feelings this way, "I hope he has learned something about working with concerned volunteers, but regardless we are grateful and are resuming our activities in earnest."
Alternative plans to catch the dog will begin immediately. Rescuers ask that they be left to do their work with already established teams and are requesting no one seek to feed or help the dog independently. That will allow them to control the feeding and limit the number of people the dog is exposed to so he can build trust with a small circle of caregivers.

birds of a feather flocked together-thanks for every animal person who made a statement for the poor dog who had no voice nor any control over his situation..
Now I hope this poor dog can be safely caught and eventually learn to trust people. Thank You to all who are helping him.
Well meaning people wanted to help to get the dog in a better spot than he was in. thank you for the story.
Thanks for keeping us updated on this.
Has the dog been rescued yet?
