On October 26, 2013, Cheryl Shuman, founding member of the Beverly Hills Cannabis Club, member of Moms for Marijuana, cannabis activist and mother suddenly fell ill, apparently suffering from multiple TIA's (Transient Ischemic Attack's, or mini-stokes) following a blitzkrieg of media appearances when her daughter Aimee posted to her Facebook account (click this link for the original article):
“After an inhuman month of appearances Cheryl collapsed at the Restaurant and is in Emergency barely responsive! Damn she has worked herself to a possible stroke!!!! Pray for her”.
“Prayer request for Cheryl Shuman in the hospital. We signed out AMA (Against Medical Advice) at the Denver hospital because her only request was to be home with her family our home town of LA. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Moms for Marijuana & Ohio Rights Group.
She collapsed in Denver from a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) aka "mini-stroke" and was completely unresponsive. She can speak now and use her hands but can't walk. She is unable to see. She had another seizure during the TIA and again this morning.
We are trying new seizure medications, high blood pressure medication and sadly five other meds etc. to get her back home and admitted to a hospital in LA where she can be with family and start physical & occupational therapy.
Thanks to everyone for their support”.
Further updates will be posted as soon as they are made available.
