Update-cat rescued after week in tree found-Mass.

An update to my previous article.

The stray cat that was rescued after spending at least a week in a Rochester, Mass. tree, has been located and is in good health.

The cat, now being called "Fortunate", has a few pulled muscles and has a possible parasitic infection according to a Marion Animal Hospital veterinarian.

A resident heard the stray crying on Christmas Eve and contacted authorities. After several unsuccessful attempts over seven days to free the cat from the tree, firefighters cut the limb where the cat was sitting 80 feet off the ground. The cat then fell to the brush below and fled the scene.

"Fortunate" was trapped a week later by the local shelter founder. The cat will remain at the shelter until it is well enough for adoption.
