Two men and a woman have been arrested for the murder of a man who was found shot inside his Cherokee County home.
All three, Mr. John Michael Taylor, of Acworth, Ms. Krystle Gail Taylor, of Dawsonville, and Mr. Benson Kyle Lloyd, of Jasper, face a charge of felony murder in the death of Mr. Christopher Pierce, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Taylor and Ms. Taylor, both, 27, were arrested Tuesday at a home in Dawsonville and Mr. Lloyd, 28, was arrested Wednesday in Cobb County, the sheriff's spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said. All three have been transferred to the Cherokee County jail.
The trio are suspected drug users and investigators believe the Sunday shooting of Mr. Pierce was drug related, but they declined to give additional details on what happened.
Mr. Pierce’s dad found him inside his home at 148 Misty Hollow around 5:15 p.m., Lt. Baker has said.
The dad called 911 and deputies found the 47-year-old dead of a gunshot wound inside the home, he said. But he declined to comment on where inside the home the man was found or where he was shot on his body.
“There were no signs of forced entrance and no signs anything was taken from the home,” Lt. Baker said.
He said the suspects were acquaintances of the victim.
