UPDATE 2: Wet weather causing slide in High School Rugby schedule

UPDATE:

Gilbert Vs Sumter will be the only game Friday, SCHSR has said. Kick-off for -- what SC Rugby Examiner is calling the first ever Chocolate Pudding Bowl -- is still set for 6p.m.

UPDATE:

As of 3:30 there were still further changes to the South Carolina High School Rugby schedule for the weekend.

As of writing all the Saturday and Sunday games are still on. However, Spring Valley and Chapin have pulled out, according to coaches and players. Therefor at 6pm hosts Gilbert will play Sumter.

The two remaining sides, Brookland-Cayce and Lexington could be looking at playing each other, other coaches have said, but it is not official as of posting.

Original story begins here:

For the second straight weekend, the planned South Carolina High School Rugby schedule has been iced due to cold and rain.

With cold engulfing the state and where'd-I-park-my-ark rain settling in, teams have reevaluated traveling down from Greenville to play Columbia teams. Instead, Greer and Greenville, both in the Upstate, will face off on Sunday; while in the Palmetto State capital three games will go ahead Friday and two more will be played Saturday.

Here's the schedule as of Friday a.m.

Friday @ Gilbert High

-- Sumter vs Gilbert 6p.m.

-- Spring Valley vs Lexington 7:30p.m.

-- Brookland-Cayce vs Chapin 9p.m.

Saturday @ Lugoff

-- Aiken vs Lugoff-Elgin 10a.m.

-- Irmo vs Easley 11:30a.m.

Sunday

-- Greenville vs Gilbert
