This Saturday, April 17, The 19th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure is taking place downtown Indianapolis at the IUPUI Library Lawn and Military Park. Catering to runners and walkers of all levels, The Race for a Cure offers a competitive 5K Run at 9:00am, a participant 5K Walk/Run at 9:10, and a family 1 Mile Walk at 9:45am. Registration opens at 6:30am. Participation costs are $35 the day of the event.
The following Saturday, April 24, another great event is available for those looking to stretch their legs. Friedens United Church of Christ in Greenwood is hosting the Free2Walk 3-Mile Run/Walk to benefit the Not for Sale Campaign to end human trafficking. The charity walk will offer open registration the day of the event beginning at 9:00am. Registration and the race itself will take place at the Friedens Church located on South US135. Organizers are asking for a minimum donation of $27 upon registration.
