Monday 4/16: Lovedrug - Doors at 8pm - 21+ (The Whiskey) - Tickets for the show are only $10. Although, make sure you keep the kiddies at home, you’re looking at a 21+ crowd. Get some drinks and listen to some good music. Lovedrug has been a personal favorite of mine since their first release in 2004 with, Pretend You’re Alive. They’ve had countless releases since 2004 including full length albums and EPs and we’re up to 2012 now. They’re currently touring and on the road supporting their most recent effort, Wild Blood (released March 6th).
So head to Annapolis on Monday night and check out the band. Openers for the night are The Last Royals, Andy Zipf, and This The Rescue.
You can purchase tickets in advance from thewhiskeyannapolis.3dcartstores.com/041612-Lovedrug-Last-Royals-This-The-Rescue-8pm-21_p_30.html.
The Whiskey is located at 1803 West St. Annapolis, MD 21401.
Unfortunately, I have never checked out the Whiskey, so I’m unable to give you my expertise on the parking situation in advance. However, if you’d like to contact the venue to figure out anymore details on the show, including parking, the number included on their website is 410-626-6023.

They’re from Lansdale, PA (which many sum up as Philadelphia) and have been making music since the summer of 2005.
The Wonder Years currently on the Glamour Kills Tour and will be playing the Baltimore date with openers Polar Bear Club, Transit, The Story So Far and A Loss For Words.

Friday 4/20: Eden’s Edge - ALL AGES - Doors at 7pm - (Recher Theatre) - Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online (http://www.missiontix.com/events/product/13687/edens-edge) or at the door. Eden’s Edge is a three piece country group from Arkansas but moved to Nashville in 2007 and they signed to Big Machine Records in 2010. It’s hard to believe their first hit, “Amen” was released a year ago this month. It feels like it was just this past summer it was released, but that’s not the case - it’s been getting a ton of airplay on country radio. They also have only released an EP so far, their debut self-titled album won’t be released until June 12, 2012. They’re making their way in the country world, last summer they were opening the Brad Paisley H20 Tour and now they’re on a headlining tour of their own. See them while you can, because this summer they’ll be opening Rascal Flatts’ “Changed” Tour.
Openers for the night: Striking Matches and Mike McFadden.
Recher Theatre is located at 512 York Rd. Towson, MD 21204.
Parking for Recher Theatre can be found anywhere, I usually do street parking. However, there’s a lot behind the venue and other nearby parking lots as well.

Saturday 4/21: GWAR - Doors at 7pm - ALL AGES - (Sonar) - Tickets are $20 in advance (http://sonar.thundertix.com/orders/new?performance_id=100096) and $23 day of show. I saw Gwar once when I was about 21 and feared my life. That show was also on the Sounds of the Underground Tour so there was ample space to get away from the venue. However, they put on an excellent live show.
I’d be a little bit worried about how much damage can be done inside a closed venue, but they’ve been doing it for years! I’m still just waiting for Ethan Embry to join the band.
Openers for the night: Kylesa, Ghoul, and Legacy of Disorder.
Sonar is located at 407 E. Saratoga St. Baltimore, MD 21202.
Parking lot, street parking, and nearby garage available.

Sunday 4/22: Aer - Doors at 6pm | Show at 8pm (Baltimore Soundstage) - Tickets are $10 tax and available online and $12 day of show, at the door.
Pretty sure Aer is killing it, I don’t know much about the band but they’ve got a big following for a band who’s been doing things since 2010. They’ll be playing the infamous Bamboozle in Asbury Park, NJ this year and things couldn’t be better for them. They’ve already shared the stage with a ton of artists and have performed at many schools all over the states, check them out when they get to Baltimore!
Openers include: Rebel Nation.
Baltimore Soundstage is located at 124 Market Place Baltimore, MD 21202.
There are nearby parking garages by Baltimore Soundstage and you can even get a discount when going to the venue. For more information, make sure to check out their website.

Remember when parking anywhere, lock up your vehicle and hide all your valuables. If you don't do this, you might be hurting yourself in the end. I feel like this should be common sense, but just in case you don't have that, here's your advice.
More advice, this is my opinion of where you should be. All information listed for the above shows was taken directly from the venues respective websites. Prices, times, and more can all change - so please check out the websites before heading down to the show!
The music scene is alive and well in Baltimore and you should support it!
To better prepare you for the week, I made one crazy Spotify playlist to prepare you for all the pop punk, fake metal, country fame, rap, and much more that you can handle. If you have Spotify, you can listen to the playlist here: Week of April 16th, 2012.
