Upcoming scrapbooking classes in San Jose for May 15-21, 2010

Following are classes and events happening in and around the South Bay for May 15-21, 2010. You will find contact information, dates, times and prices. Classes and events are subject to change. ATC Card Class

Students will be creating six different Artist Trading Card's featuring images of children which will all fit into a leather suitcase. Students will be working with metal accents and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Call the store for more information on additional supplies needed.

May Flowers Crop
Location: Scrapbook Island (for additional information, see above)
Date: May 15
Time: 10:00am-6:00pm
Cost: $15 (participants will receive $10 store credit the day of the crop)

Snacks and beverages are provide. Space is limited. You must call the store to reserve your spot.


Prom mini-album (photo by Memories

Prom Mini-Album

Time: 10:00am-1:00pm

Students will be creating a prom themed mini-album using CD literature folders.  The album contains plenty of pockets and spaces for photos and journaling. You can also purchase more blank CD folders at the end of the class to add to your album if you wish. You have the option of selecting a different color in place of the pink shown in the sample. (Black will be the second color for all kits.) Check the Memories Live On class schedule for more details.

Graduation Chipboard Album

Time: 2:00pm-5:00pm

Cost: $30

Preserve all your graduation memories with this custom chipboard album. Students will learn how to design and cut the numbers at the end of a piece of chipboard to create the exact year of the graduation being commemorated. You will have the option of selecting two cardstock colors to coordinate with your student's school colors (the default option is black and white). The patterned papers will remain the same. Time: 12:00pm – 3:00pm (both classes)

This is the fifth class in a series of five classes. Students will be creating a 12 month perpetual calendar/book using a variety of stamps from Magnolia. In this fifth class, students will be creating the December page and binding the calendar pages. Students do have the option of making cards instead of calendar pages. Please specify which type of project you are signing up for. Students will need to bring a few items. Check the Stamp On Over blog for more details. All other materials will be provided and class kits are available until May 18 for $35 for each individual calendar section as taught in class.

Students will make 12 cards using the BasicGrey Green at Heart line. All supplies are provided. Call the store for more information on additional supplies needed.

Students will make two double page layouts. You will learn how to make two different styles of flowers. All supplies are provided. Call the store for more information on additional supplies needed.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Students will make four springtime cards made using different techniques, including how to make your own flowers. There will be sentiment stamps available during the class for students personalize their cards. All supplies are provided. Call the store for more information on additional supplies needed.

BasicGrey 12 month Layout Series
Location: Scrapbook Island (for additional information, see above)
Date: May 19
Time: 7:00pm-9:00 pm
Instructor: Debbie
Cost: $269 for 12 Months

In May’s class, students will be working with the Kioshi line from BasicGrey. Students will learn how to follow a scrapbook layout sketch. All supplies are provided. At the conclusion of this 12 month series, students will receive a 12x12 BasicGrey album to put all their layouts in. If you are unable to attend a class, kits will be available. Call the store for more information on additional supplies needed.

Memories Live On Friday Night Crop
Location: Memories Live On (for additional information, see above)
Date: May 21
Time: 6:00pm-midnight
Cost: $10

Crop at your own 5x2.5 foot table. Fee includes the use of tools available in the crop area, including the Cricut Expression. After you pay for and attend four Friday night crops, your fifth one is free! For more information, visit the Memories Live On crop and party page.
