The Phoenix Pride Festival is long gone. The Flagstaff Festival is almost history as well. It closes this evening with Berlin doing the final show. So...now what?
Just sit back and try to stay cool in the Arizona summer while waiting for cooler weather. The next Festival is three months away so mark your calendar for October 11th and make plans for the Tucson Festival.
The Tucson Festival was originally held on Fourth Avenue in June. The Festival was moved to another site in 2010 to make room for street car construction but this year the parade and block party will be back on Fourth Avenue. The entertainment lineup is not available yet so check back here to see what is happening.
Closely following the Tucson Festival is the Rainbows Festival and Street Fair. Hosting nearly 150 exhibitors and sponsors, it is the second largest LGBTQ event in Arizona. The Festival is held in historic Heritage Park Square. This year it will be on the 18th and 19th of October and admission is FREE! Check here for more information.
October is a busy month with the Sedona/Verde Valley Pride Festival closing it out on the 25th thru the 28th. Part of the festival events will be held in Old Town Cottonwood and some events will be in Sedona with plenty of time for checking out the area's red rock features. Tempe's own Sugar Thieves will be one of the highlights. The Festival staff is looking for sponsors, vendors and volunteers or if you just want more information, you can find it here.
