Wednesday, March 19th: NOTHING (A389/Relapse Records) - Doors: 8PM - The Gold Bar (Baltimore, MD)

Nothing will be playing a headlining gig at The Gold Bar in Baltimore. I have yet to see any shows at the venue, however I have been to the bar nights and it seems like quite an intimate place to be seeing the band. I can guarantee the show will sell out and another great thing about this show is that it's a 2-4-1 show night. Your ticket (which online is $12, this may change at door) will get you into The Gold Bar for Nothing for the night and it will also let you have access to the venue across the hall - The Crown. The Crown will be hosting the Dope Body show, so it will be an excellent night for music on N. Charles Street. The show is projected to go until sometime past 1AM.

RIYL: Citizen, This Will Destroy You, and shoegaze music. (Nothing)

Openers for the night

Nothing show: Holy Tongues and Crimson Wave.

Dope Body show: Roomrunner and Greys.

Thursday, March 20th: SAM SMITH - Doors: 7PM - U Street Music Hall (Washington, DC) - SOLD OUT

Sam Smith is the newest obsession of most of my Philadelphia friends and they always seem to have the best taste in music and seem to know about the next big thing. Don't think they're too far off, the show seems to already be sold out, but if you can find a way in - do it! I've been listening to his tracks and it's hard to believe he's only 21 and sounding this solid already. His debut album isn't even scheduled to hit stores until late May. If you're into dancy music mixed with R&B and soul, I think Sam Smith was made for you.

RIYL: Alex Clare, D'Angelo, Mario, Mike Posner, and Usher.

Openers for the night: As of today, none listed.

Friday, March 21st: Charm City Art Space Benefit show: KOJI - Doors: 7PM - Charm City Art Space (Baltimore, MD)

Koji is a singer/songwriter from Pennsylvania who is known for his killer songs and beautiful melodies. He will be performing at the Charm City Art Space benefit show as the headliner for the evening and I believe, he will be drawing out quite the crowd. I'm forecasting this show will sell out, so you'll need to be there early.

RIYL: Brian Marquis, Have Mercy, and The American Scene.

Openers for the night: Have Mercy, Centerfield, Class Picture, and Watermedown.

Saturday, March 22nd: LYDIA - Doors: 7PM - Rock & Roll Hotel (Washington, DC)

Lydia is an indie rock band from Arizona and they've been a band for about eleven years now. I only really remember hearing about the band around 2008 and I loved the music they had put out. Lydia is not the same Lydia that I know from years ago, but they're still excellent. After years and years of never seeing them, I was finally able to check them out the last time they were in Baltimore and it was wonderful. I don't know if I'll ever be able to see them again, but I strongly urge you see them at least once. The lead singer has such an excellent voice and they put on a great show.

RIYL: Andrew McMahon, Anthony Green, Eye Alaska, and Lovedrug.

Openers for the night: HRVRD and Golden Sun.

Sunday, March 23rd: IN THE VALLEY BELOW - Doors: 8PM - The Ottobar (Baltimore, DC)

In The Valley Below just finished up playing the infamous SXSW (South by Southwest) this year and they'll be hitting Baltimore for the weekend. Their debut album is to release very shortly. They've already been on Letterman and creating their buzz softly, but they are on the verge to be huge. Just wait until the album drops, I'm sure you'll be hearing many great things from the band in the near future. Check them out in an intimate setting while you still can!

RIYL: Band of Skulls, Peter Bjorn and John, Silversun Pickups, shoegaze music.

Openers for the night: Old Victrola and Erik Oliver.

Remember when parking anywhere, lock up your vehicle and hide all your valuables. If you don't do this, you might be hurting yourself in the end. I feel like this should be common sense, but just in case you don't have that, here's your advice.

More advice, this is my opinion of where you should be. All information listed for the above shows was taken directly from the venues respective websites.
