Upcoming "Frozen" events for children in Broward County

The movie “Frozen” is still popular with kids in Broward County and why not celebrate winter in summer with these two upcoming events.

Who can resist the adorable characters from this movie? There are the sisters Elsa and Anna, and then Kristoff and Hans. And, who can resist the humorous and friendliest snowman, Olaf?

Broward County has two free events that relate to this award-winning movie.

On Friday, August 1, 2014, there is a Frozen Friday event at the Broward Mall, 591 South University Drive in Plantation. You can cool off with Olaf at the Get Pop-Cultured with Barnes & Noble Event starting at 7 p.m. Bring the children for story time, a sing-along, crafts, and activities with this favorite snowman. Then, on Saturday, August 9, 2014, Westside Regional Medical Center is sponsoring a Frozen Back to School Community Event in their hospital parking lot at 8201 West Broward Blvd. in Plantation. From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. there will be loads of exciting activities for the children. Here is the lineup for Frozen fun for everyone:

  • Build a snowman
  • Snowball toss
  • Decorate a surgical mask
  • Pony rides
  • Magic show
  • Face painting
  • Sing-along with "Frozen" characters
  • Photo booth
  • Backpack safety station
  • Pack a healthy lunch station (with a free gift)
