This Sunday, April 10, the Colorado Film Forum is hosting a roundtable with Laura Grey of the Colorado Office of Film, Television, and Media from 1:30pm - 4:30pm at the Eloise May Library, 1471 S. Parker Road. Sal Steels, the organizer of the Colorado Film Forum writes: “This is a fantastic opportunity to express your thoughts with the Colorado Office of Film, Television, and Media. Please bring your suggestions, constructive critiques, and positive attitudes in order to help shape the progress for future filmmaking in our great state. Also, sign up for the Colorado Office of Film, Television, and Media monthly newsletter, ‘Focus on Colorado.’”
Colorado filmmakers Jimmy Drain, Lewis Leslie, and Tim Keller would like to invite everyone to come out to the “Raining Fire Film Showcase”, a special screening to raise funds for their upcoming feature “Everything + the Girl” starring Jimmy, Jessica Duffy ("Ink") and Kerry Knuppe ("Skills Like This"). The films that will be screening are “Dreamlady” (the short on which “Everything + the Girl” is based), and the world premieres of “Strange Company” (director’s cut), “Grift”, and “The Initiation of Professor Kimmer”.
The showcase takes place at the Mayan Theatre, 110 Broadway in Denver, Thursday, May 12 at 8pm. Tickets are $7. KBPI’s Gregg Stone (“Uncle Nasty”), one of the stars of “Professor Kimmer”, will be on hand to promote the event, as will other actors and filmmakers involved in the project. This is a great opportunity to see some recent work by Denver filmmakers and to support Colorado filmmaking. Look for more details as the event approaches.
