Feed your hunger and help raise money for homeless pets in the Macon area Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Moe's Southwest Grill, 3111 Vineville Ave. AC Pup and his furry friends will be there, and Moe's is donating a portion of the day's proceeds to local rescue groups. You may even find your next furry best friend while you're there.

Do you love Avon products? Here's your chance to order Avon and help Macon Purrs N Paws rescue. Visit Mandy Croft's Avon page and order by Oct. 4, and choose representative delivery to get your items delivered personally. Croft is donating 75% of profits on all orders placed by October 4 to Macon Purrs N Paws. Macon Purrs N Paws had rescued dozens of dogs and cats, kittens and puppies from the Bibb County pound in recent weeks. Northside-Wesleyan Animal Hospital will have it's annual health fair from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 13 at the hospital, 335 Charter Blvd., off Vineville Road. Special rates for a checkup, rabies shots and other services will apply. Call for more information (478) 477-6828.

Special Note: Bibb County's new director of animal control, Sarah Tenon, will be
fêted at a Meet and Greet reception Monday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 .m. in the commission's board room. The public is invited to attend.
