Upcoming events in July

Bardstown's Independent Business Alliance will be celebrating Indie Day this month

July looks like it’ll be a busy month, and there’s lots to report, so let’s get to it!

On the 4th of July(Happy Independence Day!) Bardstown will be having it’s annual Indie Day celebration, with stores like Ear X-tacy, Wild and Woolly Video, and Carmichael’s Bookstore - among many others - rejoicing in everything independent. There will be live music from The Invaders and DJ Matt Anthony, and if it’s anything like past years, it should be fun! The party starts at 12:00 PM, and goes on until 4:00 PM.

Also this month is the famous Louisville festival Lebowski Fest, celebrating the classic Coen Brothers movie, The Big Lebowski. There will, of course, be bowling and movie viewing parties, among other treats. The festival will continue for the 10th and 11th.

The Forecastle Festival, another famed Louisville fest, will also be this month, lasting from July 10th to the 12th. Tons of good bands will be playing, including The Black Crowes, Widespread Panic, The Black Keys, and many, many more.

This summer has proven to be a very eventful one, so get out there and hear some music!
