Becker Vineyard is my favorite winery along the wine Road 290 in Fredericksburg. They have a diverse selection of wines for an affordable price. The location is also a lovely place to visit.

Some upcoming events include a Chili Cook Off on July 4th. The website notes: “The Chili Cook-off Sample fees benefits the Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity.  For more information about this organization, visit www.fredhab.org.”

There is also the 15th annual Grape Stomp. The website notes:

Dates:  August 27, 28, & Sept 3, 4, 2011
Time:  Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.;
Sunday, Noon - 6 p.m.
