On Saturday, March 3, 2012, Books & Beignets Bookstore in Northpark Mall will host a reading and book signing for E.V. Adams. Her novel, Darling Nikki, is a provocative thriller published by major publishing house Simon & Schuster. Adams is a native of Jackson, MS and this is her first novel.
June Hardwick and DJ Phingaprint will host the 6th anniversary of Forever Friday on March 9, 2012 at Dreamz JXN in downtown Jackson. Forever Friday is a vibrant mixer where folks come to enjoy great music and even better drinks! There will be live musical performances, poetry, and local venders. Doors open at 10pm. The 7th Annual MS Civil Rights Veterans Conference will be held March 21-24 at Jackson State University and Tougaloo College. Guest poets will present on March 22nd and 23rd from 11:45am -1:45pm. The theme for this year is, “Empowering the Next Generation: Passing it On to Carry it On.” Please visit the website for registration information and other conference events.

Poet, Honey Sanaa, has self-published her first collection of poetry titled, Firefly Kisses. Honey currently resides in Hattiesburg, MS but can usually be caught performing at the Nameless Open Mic every 1st and 3rd Saturday held at Suite 106 in Jackson, MS.
