Get your snow boots out of the closet! Find your winter gear! Willow Winter Carnival starts January 25th for the first of two weekends of fun ending on February 3rd. And you do not want to miss out. Friday evening starts out with the Quick Draw Artists showing their talents, dinner, drawing for racing bibs in the Earl Norris Open Class Race are among other activities. The evening finishes off with a fireworks display starting at 8 p.m.
Saturday had many activities. There are ski races, Outhouse Races, live music by the Colony High Jazz Band, and Snowshoe Softball, just to name a few. See attached schedule for more detailed information or go to www.waco-ak.org. Included in the Carnival fun are arts and crafts fairs, vendor booths with many gift ideas or souvenirs and much more. Willow Community Center kitchen will be open with yummy homemade foods to take care of your hunger pangs.
Willow Winter Carnival takes place at Mile 69 on the Parks Highway. If you cannot make the celebration during the weekend of January 25th, more fun follows the next Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 1st through the 3rd. Events start at 10:00 a.m. every day. This Carnival is a must attend event. Come and join in the fun.
