Get ready for a great running weekend.
The weekend is upon us and so are the weekend races. Here are just a few of the upcoming weekend races in the Baltimore area:
Diane Geppi-Aikens Memorial 5k Run: Saturday September 19 at 8:30am at Loyola College in Baltimore. Race day registration starts at 7am. Race day registration is $35.00. Already registered? You can pick up your packet at Charm City Run in Timonium on Friday from 11:00am to 1:00pm and then 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Fort McHenry Tunnel 5k Run: Sunday September 20 at 9:00am at Bore 4 of the Fort McHenry Tunnel. Not yet registered? Registration opens race morning at 7am. Race day registration is $30.00. If you are already registered you can pick up your packet at MDTA Building Lobby located at 2301 Clinton Street in Baltimore.
Navy 5 Miler: Sunday September 20 at 8:00 am in the North Parking Lot of the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. Race day registration starts at 6:30am.
Kids X-Country Series: Sunday September 20 at 3:20pm at the Gilman School 5407 Roland Avenue in Baltimore. Race day registration is $8.00 and begins at 2:30pm. Pre-race registration is closed. If you already registered you can pick up your packet at Charm City Run Timonium from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Charm City Run X-Country T-shirts will also be available for purchase.
Gunpowder Keg Ultra Trail Races: Saturday September 19 at Bunker Hill area in Gunpowder State Park. This race has multiple distances to choose from. This is a low-key race sponsored by the Baltimore Road Runners Club so there is only race day registration. This event features a 50K Fat Ass run. This run doesn’t have a race fee but runners need to carry your own support. Check the BRRC website for maps and more information on this race.
Charlie Reynolds Scholarship Executive Stampede & Walk: Sunday September 20 at Executive Plaza in Hunt Valley. This is the same route as the Create Everyday Geniuses race on August 29.
These are just a sample of the options that we runners have for having a great running weekend regardless of what the weather is throwing at us.
