Up-coming tour review: Motley Crue with Poison and the New York Dolls

They're still hot. They're still sexy. But can they still rock? Stay tuned... the answer is only days away.

Motley Crue is currently traveling across the U.S. on their latest headlining tour with direct support from Poison and special guests The New York Dolls. I'll be bringing exclusive coverage of the show as they roll through Atlanta, including concert photos of all three bands performing live.

For more than three decades Motley Crue has proven to be one of the most influential and die-hard heavy metal bands to have sprung from the over-populated pool of 1980's metal bands. As others fell by the way-side Motley Crue continued to prove their mettle, and their metal, consistently jumping to the head of the pack, and with one of the most loyal followings in rock and roll, across the board.

Motley Crue has been showered with Grammy nominations, received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and sold more than 80 Million records worldwide and on Thursday, August 18th, the band will be honored at the Los Angeles Sunset Strip Music Festival (www.ssmf.com) with a special evening of events planned for the band at The House of Blues.

Poison, another enduring band who have continued to kick-ass over the course of decades, is supporting Motley Crue on the current tour and it is truly an honor to have the privelege of covering them both on one stage. The addition of The New York Dolls to the line-up raises this tour to the heights of epic on an historical level. This is going to be a tour that noone is going to forget any time soon.

Not only is Motley Crue sporting all original members on this tour, Tommy Lee will be showing off his latest drum apparatus, the 360 drum rollercoaster, which will loop him completely vertical as he plays. Be sure to check back next week for the concert review and if you write your own review for Motley Crue please make sure you link it in comments, technorati tag/ label your post #motleycruerocks and/ or send me a tweet @a_geek_girl using the hashtag #motleycruerocks.
