Now that the excitement of a new year is over, many anime fans may be finding themselves looking for something to do for the rest of year.
Unlike other states, Florida has a variety of conventions where the average fan can get their anime, video game and over-all nerd fix.
Animecons.com provides a list of all the conventions currently available to the anime fandom. Here are a few convention highlighters:
- MegaCon (March 15th-17th) returns to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
- Alt*Con is a one day convention on April 13th at the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center in Tallahassee, Florida.
- Khaotic Kon (May 3rd-5th) celebrates its second year at the Sheraton Tampa East Hotel in Tampa, FL.
- BelleCon (May 10th-12th) is kicking off its first year at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk in Jacksonville, FL.
- Florida Anime Experience (May 24th-26th) is offering fans the chance to meet Maile Flanagan (the voice of Naruto) at the International Palms Resort & Conference Center in Orlando, FL.
- Knightrokon (June 1st & 2nd) is UCF's Anime Spot club's convention featuring several exciting events at the University of Central Florida's Student Union Building in Orlando, FL.
