Its a music thing. The sixth annual San Diego Music Thing is coming to town September 13 and 14, 2013. '150 bands, 16 stages, two days, one ticket'...wow, that's a lot of music. This music thing really kicks off with the kick off party at The Casbah Thursday September 12, 2013 with New Politics.
With an eclectic mix of Alt. Rock bands always in attendance, this years San Diego Music Things will not disappoint. From the melodic punk rock sounds of legendary locals Unwritten Law [who I hear have brought back original drummer Wade Youman], to the more hipster modern dance beats of Ra Ra Riot...and so many more, this festival has a little bit of everything to make your Alt Rock wet dreams come true.
For those indie or aspiring musicians out there conference and mentoring sessions will be held atThe Sheraton Hotel in Mission Valley. This year's featured speakers are Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth) and Mike Herrera (MxPx). The music venues are spread out from downtown at The Casbah, to Bay Park at The Griffen, and North Park. at The Birch North Park Theatre, and a lot more in between.
With plenty of ticketing options, you can get a 2-day Super badge for $75 which gets you into the conference at the Sheraton and every show, or you can pick and choose to go to an individual concerts from your favorite bands for a fraction of the cost of a super badge.
