In a news conference at Mission Coffee Roasters in Colorado Springs a new media platform was announced that will debut at 11:59 PM December 1. Cause Central Network will be a 24/7 internet program beginning with Christmas programming on a theme, "Unwrap a season of meaningful giving." This is the collaboration of Five Points Management; Likewise Advertising, idonate.com; Ancient Paths E-Free church and the Word and Spirit Network. "There is never a better time to spread the Gospel than during the Christmas season," says executive director, Richard Beattie who started the network and calls himself a "curator" of Biblical message, mission and music." The main goal of Cause Central is to build media platforms that will reach people and will be raising funds and sponsorship for ministries in a manner similar to national public radio, and PBS. Beattie jokes, "If Cause Central doesn't do it, PBS probably will!" Cause Central will be found on Truli.com with the thousands of hours of on demand content being highlighted on a 24/7 stream and now audio.
Programming is essential
The launch at Christmas was the idea of Chuck Arnold the man who founded the Business Radio Network and knows about niche audiences. "We want to launch this network on Truli.com and debut three streams that bring world music with a Christian approach; and also an audio book channel that will release books in digital and audio form with great sound design." It has never been done and yet as Beattie has said during the Envoy Film Festival in 2004 and 2005, "We have the greatest story ever told and so we should retell it, produce it better, and with attention to media and arts, we should reach more people." All of the broadcast mornings will begin with a program that Beattie hosts, Daily Balance, which includes an audio version of examiner.com, a news and financial summary, Daily Audio Bible with Brian Hardin, one hymn, and one new song from Word and Spirit and Urban Praise Movement and then a talk about two things our group senses that God is saying.
Five Points of Influence
The five points of influence was inspired by this column in examiner.com and through it many writers and videographers have been influenced. "Our journalism is to reveal truth and that is what we do beginning on Mondays with Denver Evangelical Examiner. The heart and soul of message, mission and music starts on Monday with what is going on in evangelism starting in Denver and reaching out to the world. On Tuesdays the Cause Central is specifically reaching people through a new media that feeds a hungry culture. On Wednesday, the editorial turns to people in our culture who have been "marginalized," and reports on special needs ministries. Cause Central is a partner through sponsoring the Denver Special Needs Examiner and also Friendship Fellowship through Ancient Paths House Church Network. Thursday on the editorial board is inner city ministry and national prayer and this is where the music publishing comes in with Word and Spirit Network. On Friday the Denver Front Range Examiner concentrates on Community Building. "This integrated approach to church, agency comes from a background in ministry, leadership and communications and that is the central theme to Cause Central Public Media.
