Unsupervised child killed by three dogs

According to the Daily Mail, a four-year-old child is dead after being mauled by three dogs in Kent County, Del., on Wednesday afternoon.

The circumstances surrounding the tragedy proved to be a perfect recipe for disaster...the child, Kasii Haith, was outside in an un-fenced yard playing, unsupervised, with three unaltered pit bulls.

The boy's mother, 24-year-old Kyeisha Haith, looked out a window and saw the boy being attacked; she ran outside to try and save her son. Workers in the area also tried to intervene, but it was too late for the child, who was pronounced dead by responding emergency personnel.

The dogs, who belonged to a friend of the Kyeisha Haith, were turned over to animal control to be destroyed - the dogs were all unaltered and un-vaccinated.
