Unstable economy, job loss or feeling stressed about your future? Relieve stress through running

The feeling of insecurity in our jobs, futures and lives in today's economy in America has many people feeling much more distressed than usual...including myself.  Ultimately, we have much control over many areas of our lives and it is a matter of making the right choices to create a happy life for ourselves.  It's those things that we don't have control over that create unhappiness and undue stress in our lives that frustrates us and makes us feel totally out of control and vulnerable.  It is a helpless feeling and hard to deal with for many of us. We can't change what we don't have control over, but we can change how we react to these things.  It's how we react to things that makes the stress in our lives GREATER OR LESSER.  If we have no control over something, it makes no sense to freak out about it since there is nothing we can do to change the situation.  We need to learn to let go of these things we have no control over and find ways to lessen the stress we're feeling and in my opinion running is ONE great way to relieve stress!

Running isn't going to fix these things we have no control over, but it sure will make you feel better because it's a way to get you outside to breathe some fresh air, see some pretty spring scenery, maybe some new spring babies and your body will produce endorphins--which is the body's natural pain-killer/chemical that the brain produces that makes you feel good when you run or exercise.  Just getting outside, going for a run and changing your scenery can help create a happier mood.  If nothing else, you can rejuvenate your body and your mind...taking a break from life's troubles for a little while.

Happy running everyone :)
