Dr, Waddell is one of five Orthospinology Chiropractors in DFW
Would you like to live a healthier, more balanced life? A growing area of Chiropractic care, called Orthospinolgy, may be just what you need.
Orthospinology gently corrects upper neck bone structure (C1 or Atlas), thereby correcting irregular input to the nervous system without rotating or turning the neck.
Dr. Jimmy Max Waddell, of Waddell Chiropractic in Keller, is one of five Chiropractors in the Dallas/Fort-Worth Metroplex specifically trained in Orthospinolgy. "Dr. Max," as he is known to his patients, has 17 years in practicing general Chiropractic care and an active member of The Society of Orthospinology since 2002.
How does it work?
Dr. Max uses a simple analogy to explain how Orthospinolgy/Upper Cervical Chiropractic care works. Think of your spinal column as a running garden hose. If that hose has a kink in it, the water flow will be reduced or stopped. Just like if your neck has a kink in it or is out of alignment, the natural flow of the nervous system will be reduced - compromising your overall health. Either Orthospinolgists restore the natural nervous system flow by using a special hand-held or a table mounted instrument, called an Orthospinology Percussion Adjusting Instrument. The Orthospinolgy treatment method is gentle and painless and does not involve physical rotating or turning for adjustment. The amount of pressure used for treatment is equivilent to pressing your finger on the tip of your nose with enough pressure to dimple the skin - not much.
Many patients report feeling an instant wave of relaxation even after the first Orthospinology treatment. Dr. Max says that the relaxing sensation signifies a release in the kink and restored nervous system flow. Think of this like releasing a kink in the garden hose and water rushing through.
