A University of Utah (U of U) research professor fell out of a U of U campus bus Friday and was killed. She was standing near the door, lost her balance while the bus was moving, and the doors that should have been locked opened and she feel out of the bus to her death. The U of U is looking into how this could have happened, and inspecting all of the campus buses.
The U of U professor is 53 and from China and the U of U has had a difficult time locating her family, so her name has not been released.
