The University of Phoenix announced March 15, 2012 that new programs will be added to the educational curricula that will educate and prepare students for the Cisco CCNA(R) certification. The annoucement was made from a recent press release from a BusinessWire article. The CCNA cerification is a valuable resource of knowledge in the field of system networking and support.
Network technology and network systems jobs are projected to grow by more than 20% by 2018.

The University of Phoenix is the first university to offer an associate degree program specifically for the CCNA certification. The University of Phoenix will also offer a separate stand alone program specifically for preparing to take and pass the CCNA certification test.
