The University of Houston (UH) will commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in an event scheduled for Mon, Jan. 28 from Noon-1 p.m. at the University Center. This year's theme is "The Importance of Doing for Others". Remarks will be made by UH System Regent Jarvis Hollingsworth and Houston Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Algenita Scott Davis. There will be a roundtable discussion with students, faculty and staff on the value of service to others from 12:30 - 1 p.m.. The event is open to the public. Doors open at 11:30 a.m..
