One of the most recognized public figures of the 21st century is a Woman named BEYONCE. Beyonce has captivated the world with her beauty, music, movies, fashion and now motherhood. Beyonce is the subject of a college course that is being taught at Rutgers University.
Kevin Allred a doctoral student and lecturer will teach the course under the Women’s and Gender Studies curriculum. Kevin teaches “Politicizing Beyonce” as reported by Rutgers Today.
According to Rutgers Today Kevin Allred says that Politicizing Beyonce “is not a course about Beyonce’s political engagement, rather the performer’s music and career are used as lenses to explore American race, gender and sexual politics”.
Kevin Allred course study on Politicizing Beyonce at Rutgers University is not the only University offering courses in the study of high profile music artist. Beyonce’s husband JayZ has been the subject of a college course offered at Georgetown University reports Fox News titled “Sociology of Hip Hop : JayZ”.
