Universal Orlando Resort has completed this year’s stellar Mardi Gras concert lineup, adding performances by The All-American Rejects and Kool & The Gang.
With more than 10 million albums sold worldwide, The All-American Rejects will take the stage with a rockin’ performance on April 20. Best known for hits like “Dirty Little Secret,” “It Ends Tonight” and “Move Along,” The All-American Rejects has become a popular and influential band in alternative rock. Their hit single, “Gives You Hell,” became the most played song of 2009 from Billboard’s Top 40 chart and was even covered by the hit TV series, “Glee.”
On April 6, Kool & The Gang will “Get Down On It” at Universal Studios Florida. For more than thirty years, Kool & The Gang has created funky, soulful beats, gaining fame their hit single “Jungle Boogie.” Since then, the band has taken their combination of smooth R&B and pop-funk grooves and created infectious dance beats like “Celebration” and “Ladies Night.”
Running on select nights Feb. 9 through April 20, guests will experience the spirit of The Big Easy with an authentic, family-friendly version of Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida. The event couples unparalleled theme park entertainment with a dazzling parade, authentic New Orleans musicians, mouth-watering Cajun cuisine, tons of glittering Mardi Gras beads and live concerts by high-profile artists.
