Universal Orlando launches Diagon Alley TV spots: Summer opening ahead

There's still no firm date for the Diagon Alley opening at Universal Studios Florida, but the park has just launched new TV ads to build up excitement. The ads continue the ongoing promise of a summer opening. Click the video accompanying this article to see an example.

The ads are clearly designed to build up excitement for this follow-up to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter next door in Islands of Adventure. It teases the new Gringotts ride, which will be the main attraction much as Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey draws huge crowds next door. You'll also see a glimpse of the impressive fire-breathing dragon perched atop Gringotts as an icon for the new area.

Of course, that dragon isn't the only one you'll see breathing real flames at the theme parks this summer. Jump to this article for the Festival of Fantasy parade at the Magic Kingdom, which features an impressive Maleficent steampunk dragon float that fights Prince Phillip with its fiery breath.
