The Universal Life Church World Headquarters, the largest faith based Universal Life Church in the world reinforced its commitment to the African American Community and its stance against Domestic Violence here in February which is African American History Month. In celebration and continuing support thereof the Universal Life Church announced that Dr B will be coming to Universal Life Church Radio in April. Dr B is Dr. Alice Belcher of Milwaukee, Wisconsin who also serves the community as an ordained minister for the Universal Life Church World Headquarters.

In addition to being an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church World Headquarters, Dr. Alice Belcher, B.A.| M.S.| D.D., herself a woman of color, with both African and Native American ancestry, and long-time member of the movement to end violence. Dr. Belcher is Commissioner for the Milwaukee Commission on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and a member of the Milwaukee Domestic Violence Homicide Review Commission. She is also the founder of the Christian Woman Perspective Ministries, Inc., a volunteer holistic faith-based community outreach program.

Dr Alice Belcher is also a Board Member with the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault (WCASA), a statewide organization created in 1985 to support and complement the work of Wisconsin’s community-based sexual assault service provider programs and other organizations working to end sexual violence. WCASA works in collaboration with communities throughout the state to support existing services to victims/survivors of sexual violence, to plan for the development of new services, to create and support community prevention efforts, and to stimulate community ownership of the issue of sexual violence. WCASA is the state’s central clearinghouse on the issue of sexual violence and related topics. WCASA staff work statewide to address all facets of sexual violence, from public attitudes and awareness, to effective intervention, to public policy.
