'Universal Class Monster: The Essential Collection' nominated for Saturn Award

"Universal Class Monster: The Essential Collection" has been nominated for Saturn Award for the 2012 Best DVD/Blu-ray Collection.

The DVD collection brings together the best of the early movies from Universal Studios including "Dracula", "The Wolfman", "Frankenstein", "The Mummy", "Phantom of the Opera", "The Creature from the Black Lagoon", "The Invisible Man" and "The Bride of Frankenstein".

These are the best of the early monster movies that created a passion in fans off that time period. The first glimpse of Bela Lugosi as "Dracula" on film is presented in this collection of greats.

Other nominees include "AlfredHitchcock: The Collection", "Battle Royale", "Bond 50: The Complete Film Edition", "Dark Shadows: the Complete Original Series", and "The Ultimate Buster Keeton Collection".

The Saturn Awards are presented in June by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films. This is it's 38 year of honoring the best among film, television, and home entertainment.
