Universa Investments will move its headquarters from California to Miami. The company is an investment management firm and its move will create 25 jobs and $800,000 in capital investment for Miami, according to an April 4 release from the Office of Governor Rick Scott.

In the release, Governor Rick Scott was quoted as saying, “The relocation of Universa’s headquarters to Miami from California is great news for Florida families. Since December 2010, our goal has been to create jobs for Floridians, and we have been successful with the help of companies like Univesa,” said Scott.

“It is always good news when a company moves to Miami and creates new jobs. I am glad to see more opportunities for Miami residents,” said Susannah Holmberg.

"This is great for Miami. It will mean more good jobs for people in Miami," said Tom Crenshaw.
