The Unity Festival will truly make a difference in helping the children of St. Jude fight cancer and other deadly diseases.” Since opening in 1962, St. Jude has treated children from all over the U.S. and around the world. No child is ever denied treatment because of a family’s inability to pay. With a daily operating cost of $1.7 million, St. Jude depends mostly on public contributions and fundraising events like the Unity Festival.
According to organizers, "this unique festival is brought to the public by a hard working group of people who craved a weekend that involved all of their passions of rockin' good music set in a paradise landscape with the end goal of supporting the charity nearest to their hearts and home.... Throughout the weekend, day visitors and campers can expect a family friendly atmosphere filled with Sonoma County’s best food and arts. In alignment with the community theme, educational forums from local professionals will be ongoing as well as yoga and movement classes."
The featured performers "all come with a positive message" which is also enhanced by the complimentary vendors and education speakers. The festival begins on Friday, Sept. 13 at 12:00 p.m. and continues straight through Sunday, Sept 15 until 8:00 p.m. For more information please see the facebook event page here or the Unity Festival website here.
