The 2013 USA Pro Challenge begins stage 1 with something new, a circuit race. A 20 mile loop from Aspen to Snowmass will be looped for a total of a 60.9 mile race (0.9 miles for the 2 start lap in Aspen) . The course includes 3,080 feet of climbing between the Roaring Fork Valley and the hills of Snowmass. Particularly tricky will be narrow roadway over Maroon Creek Bridge, squeezing the competition into a lineup before the climb up Snowmass. Starting elevation of in Aspen is 7,900 ft. with the high point at 8,353 ft, about 6 miles from the start line. Be sure to consult the on-line Spectator Guide and the official Stage 1 Map.

*Road Closures – Access to Aspen and Snowmass on Highway 82 will be cut off at Noon. Look for signs to parking areas that feature shuttle buses into Aspen or Snowmass, if you don't make it in on time.
