Update 1/25/14: These dogs are safe! Pulled by a rescue agency.
"Code Red," and "Out of time," are words too frequently associated with homeless dogs, and definitely not the words one wants to hear when hoping for those dogs to safely exit an animal control facility.
Both of these dire phrases have been used for two bonded, shepherd mixes who are at the Ramona Humane Society in San Jacinto, Calif.
The dogs, known only by their identification numbers (25322 and 25321), are described as gentle, lady-like and well behaved.
If given the time and the opportunity, both dogs would be considered "highly adoptable," but time is not on their side.
