Unique and effective ways to save money on your groceries

Even if you clip coupons, make shopping lists or watch what you buy you should still be saving a lot more money on your groceries than you already are.

I am not suggesting that you become an extreme coupon person like on the TLC show or spend hours comparing sales or hoarding and stocking up on paper towels when they go on sale. Instead there are some easy and different things you can do to save money on your grocery bill.

Here are a few ways to save money on your grocery bill:

Taking Photos of Receipts

Save money by taking a photo of your grocery receipt. The popular website and mobile app Checkout51 will allow you to buy groceries and get cash back. Here is how it works…

1. Sign up for Checkout51 Here with just a name and email address to get started or sign up through your Facebook account.

2. Browse the offers in your local area that are updated every Thursday

3. Purchase the products at the store (only buy what you need don’t go overboard buying stuff just to get money back). It’s nice to get cash- back on stuff your regular purchase like milk, fruit, cereal, and other products.

4. Take a photo of your receipt to redeem your deal.

5. Get cash back once you reach $20 Checkout51 will mail you a check it is as easy as that.
