A Pennsylvania witness and several family members in two vehicles were traveling away from Uniontown Hospital and observed "a huge, bright object hovering above the mountains" that emitted a blue light on the trees below and appeared to be lifting up an object from the ground to the UFO, according to May 2, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witnesses' father had just passed away and family members were leaving the hospital at the time of the encounter.
"We all slowed down to watch a huge, bright object hovering above the mountains," the reporting witness stated. "We saw a beam of blue light shine down through the trees, and an object of some kind was lifted up by the beam to the UFO. We were all amazed by what we were seeing. Then the huge UFO speeded away, and was gone in a flash."
The witness described the size of the object.
"It had to be 200 yards long, and about two stories high. I've never seen anything like that before that big."
The witness has had previous encounters with UFOs - including memories of "small beings" coming into their bedroom at age 5.
No images or videos were provided with the MUFON report, which was filed on May 2, 2011. The events took place on February 13, 2009. Uniontown is a city in Fayette County, PA, population 12,422, and is the county seat.
Uniontown was the location, in 1973, of a UFO case that has received widespread recognition. One other sighting was reported to MUFON from Pennsylvania on the same date - February 13, 2009 - although no town name was listed. MUFON Case # 15521 recounts 10 bright lights seen in two formations.
From the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) from the same date - February 13, 2009 - there is a report from Doylestown - "3 lights (triangular) entered the sky like a shooting star, faded away and repeated this process til out of sight." Doylestown is almost directly east of Uniontown, about a 5 and-a-half hour drive. The time of day for these sightings on the same date is not available in the public portion of the accounts for comparison.
Among the other NUFORC reports from February 13, 2009, there is a Fairview, NC, report that describes a white light that "rose vertically from ground" - an "oval craft hovered over trees then flew over house and ascended."

Pennsylvania is a current UFO ALERT 4 rating, with a higher than average number of UFO sightings nationally. Pennsylvania had 13 UFO reports in April 2011 - while California had 46 sightings, the highest reporting state in the nation.

My father had just passed away that night at the Uniontown Hospital, and I was traveling with my companion back to my home, and my brother and his wife were following us in their car, when we all slowed down to watch a hugh bright object hovering above the Mountains, we saw a beam of blue light shine down through the trees,and an object of somekind was lifted up by the beam to the UFO? We were all amased by what we were seeing? Then the hugh UFO speeded away, and was gone in a flash? We don't know what it was, but we know it wasn't a plane, or man made aircraft, it had to be 200 yards long, and about 2 stories high? I've never seen anything like that before that big? I have however seen several UFO's throuhjout my life going back to my childhood? My most recent experience was inside my bedroom last November 2010 when I was awoken by a greenish-blue bright light at the foot of my bed? I couldn't move, except for my eyes? I was terrified, I felt like something was holding me down, and I could see small shadows in the dreenish-blue light? This lasted about a half hour it seemed? The light vanished, and I was then able to move again? I can remember small beings coming into my room when I was about 5 years old, and screaming uncontrolably!?
