In an interview with Clubit.tv at the Toy Fair, Cuthbert said about the Union J dolls, "This is a dream come true. We're so, so happy." Union J added that it took about six months to make the dolls from development to the final products.

Union J merchandise also includes fragrances, stationery, and jewelry amongst other things, most of which are available at Claire’s Accessories. Union J also has a deal with Penguin Books to publish official Union J books.

Union J came in fourth place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2012. Union J's self-titled debut album was a No. 6 hit in the U.K., where it was released in October 2013. There is currently no U.S. release date for the album.

The album's three singles so far are "Carry You," "Beautiful Life" and "Loving You Is Easy."

R&B star Jason Derulo co-wrote "Loving You Is Easy."

In a Sony Music press release, Hensley commented, “This song is about how it sometimes feels like you’re never going to meet the right person, but when you do it’s the greatest feeling in the world. Jason Derulo is such an inspiration to us and we’re so pleased to record this single and are looking forward to writing new material with him once we come off tour.”

In December 2013 and January 2014, Union J headlined a U.K. tour. Union J's second album is being planned for release in late 2014. The album's title, track listing and release date are to be announced.
