Former college and NFL football star Craig Clemons, and University of Northern Iowa mat standout Moza Fay -- both All-Americans in their respective sports -- will be the guests this week for the “On The Mat” show for Wed., May 7, the weekly broadcast announced Tuesday via email.
Clemons was a first team All-American football player for the University of Iowa in 1971. He was drafted in the first round of the 1972 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears and went onto a six-year career as a safety. Clemons is one of the former sports stars who will play in the Dan Gable Celebrity Golf Tournament on Friday, June 6. Featured guest for the fundraiser for the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum will be Mike Golic, former University of Notre Dame wrestler and captain of the Fighting Irish football team who is now a co-host on ESPN's "Mike and Mike" sports talk show.
Fay was a two-time All-American in wrestling for the University of Northern Iowa. He currently wrestles for the United States Army. Fay placed second at the U.S. Open in freestyle in the 154-pound weight class.
“On the Mat" is a presentation of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum.
