Valentine's Day comes around every year and every year many people have no idea what to do to celebrate. Roses, candlelight dinners and a box of chocolates are great but sometimes a more unique expression and celebration is desired.

VisArts, a beautiful venue located in the heart of Rockville is offering Cocktails and Canvas this Sunday, February 12th from 2-5pm and Wednesday, February 14th from 7-10pm. A little champagne, a little chocolate and some food sets the mood for this fun event. At just $60 a couple, VisArts will provide refreshments and a lightly sketched canvas for your enjoyment and artistic expression. Dance Lessons
Rumba, ChaChaCha, Samba anyone? This Saturday, the Washington LGBT Latin, Ballroom and Swing meetup will be getting their grove thing on with dance lessons in Bethesda starting at 10am. Learn a few new moves, and have a great time. Sure to be a memorable experience!

You can't go wrong with wine!
There are a few local wineries offering very special wine and dine events on Valentine’s Day, check out a few of my favorites: Potomac Point Winery, they are offering a Winemakers Dinner. Or check out Boordy Vineyards on either Saturday, February 10th or Sunday, February 11th from 1-5pm. For $15 a person, you and your partner can enjoy live music (Lovestory is the featured band!) and sip on some wine and enjoy a few sliders. For details visit Boordy's website here. Theater Open Rehearsals
Many theaters are now opening up their rehearsals to patrons! What a fun and exciting way to really go behind the scenes and see great plays being made. These backstage passes allow a glimpse into the artistic process. Signature Theater is currently offering a behind the scenes seminar, which is a series of 6 seminars starting Wednesday, Feb 15th, that promises the "ultimate backstage experience".
