A media-savvy publicist should probably know better than to ask for incriminating celebrity photos to be removed from the Internet.
Unfortunately for superstar Beyonce, her publicist did just that.
Yvette Noel-Schure's request to Buzzfeed to take down 'unflattering' images of the singer at the Super Bowl half time show backfired spectacularly after the site published her request.
The email sparked a phenomenon known as the 'Streisand Effect,'* turning several of the least flattering photographs into memes that have swept across the Internet.
The original seven images that the publicist asked Buzzfeed to remove were included in a list of 'The 33 Fiercest Moments From Beyoncé's Halftime Show.'
The email read: 'As discussed, there are some unflattering photos on your current feed that we are respectfully asking you to change.
'I am certain you will be able to find some better photos. The worst are #5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 19 and 22.'
Needless to say, since the email went public on Monday, images #5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 19, and 22 have been Photoshopped in a variety of impressively creative ways.
Beyonce has so far been transformed into a bloody zombie, a 'She Hulk,' Conan's wife, and an Olympic weightlifter.

* The Streisand Effect is named after American entertainer Barbra Streisand, whose attempt in 2003 to suppress photographs of her Malibu residence inadvertently generated further publicity. As a result, every man and his dog knows where to pop around for a cup of tea and a rendition of 'The Way we Were.'
