Unexpected snowfall in Cincinnati causes two massive pileups (Video)

Cincinnati drivers experienced two massive car pileups today. One wreck closed southbound I-75 while the other closed I-275 near Hamilton Avenue.

Drivers experienced a “white out” when snow reduced driver visibility.

The I-275 pileup involved nearly 90 cars and sent at least 20 people to the hospital.

The massive wreck included one death—a 12 year-old girl. She got out of her damaged car and was either struck by another vehicle or a snapped median cable.

Emergency crews took her to Mercy Fairfield Hospital where she died at 12:24 p.m.

The other crash on I-75 didn’t include any deaths and involved at least 50 cars.

The unexpected snowfall left turned the roads into a slick driving hazard.

The I-275 lanes reopened earlier this evening while I-75 was expected to reopen sometime later in the evening.
