Unepic is going co-op (Photos)

Yes! For those of you who follow the epic RPG Unepic, I hope you have noticed or have recently seen the latest update about it officially being added to Steam! In Feb 2012, the creator of Unepic was trying his hardest to get his game up on Steam so that everyone can play it with achievements but according to Steam, it did not fit. So what did he do? He put the game up on Steam Greenlight so that people could vote for his game to become an official part of Steam.

On Jan 15, 2013, Steam finally accepted Unepic as a fitted game for their platform! This only became possible because of the many votes that this title received from PC gamers on the Steam Platform. The more exciting part of this news is that the creator is actually designing a multiplayer version of the game with achievements before it gets released on Steam in a few months!

Will you be one of those guys trying this game out on co-op? If you're interested in learning more about this title, feel free to visit the Unepic webpage here. If you want to know why I think that this RPG is the most Epic RPG for the PC, read below!

My top five reasons why Unepic is the Most Epic RPG for the PC

1) Great Story Line

I’m not sure about you, but in my opinion, quality of storyline can either make or break a game. Unepic actually has a better storyline than any other game imaginable. The story includes character names from other games like Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc. while having dialogue that has cuss words and movie quotes from different fantasy movies! What else could you possibly ask for in a RPG?

2) The Controls

So what was the last RPG you played that requires no mouse or game pad? Don’t remember? Well, welcome to one more RPG that only uses the keyboard to move around, attack, sort through inventory, and skip through dialogue! It really makes me feel like I am holding onto a huge NES controller trying to play Fire Emblem.

3) The World Map

There is no map in the corner of the screen to tell you where to go on your quests. You are 100% on your own throughout this entire game. The only thing that you have to your advantage is a map that shows you of the rooms that you have already been in. The cool thing about this is that you can click on the map and write a note about the room. For example, maybe you will want to write that there was a secret room that you could not get into because you needed a key. I will leave that as a little tip for you if you decide to play this game.

4) Skills (Not including magic)

There are no skills to level up this game. For some people that could be a bad thing. For others, like me, I enjoy just leveling up my character stats (Damage, Health, Mana, Defense). Your success in this title is solely based on how you level up your character stats. Are you up for the challenge?

5) Dying is Inevitable

How can you call an RPG an RPG if you don’t die? There are many spots in this game that are loaded with traps, hardcore enemies, and other things that I cannot just give away at this time (It will ruin the story). What I can tell you is that if you see a trap being sprung, you better learn how to dodge them or create a potion that gives their positions away. But eventually down the road you will find a quest, try to do it, and die. This game gives you many objectives, but it won’t tell you at what level you should do them at.

Please, I highly encourage you to go out and buy this game or wait for it to come out on Steam because it is fantastic! So exit out of this article, assuming you viewed my pictures, and go buy the game!
