Unemployment; is it getting better or worse?

Recent Unemployment rates

The unemployment rate has fallen for the first time in a year. The U.S job market that has been nothing but beat up for the past year is starting to show signs of improvement in July according to the government report on Friday. The labor department reported the fewest job losses since August 2008.

The rate fell from 9.5% to 9.4% which at first glance seems miniscule but when you break it down it is hundreds of thousands of people, and this country should take any ground it can, no matter how small.

All in all the job market is starting to look up, with everything improving from average hourly rate, to average hours per week. The labor department expects things to keep improving.
