Do you believe in demons and Satan? What are they and where do they come from? What kind of power and influence do they really have on earth? There are many opinions–as varied as the different religious and paranormal beliefs that are out there. The purpose of this new series is to provide an understanding of demons' roles on earth from a biblical perspective. As a Christian, I believe the Bible is the source we must go to in order to understand the truth about these evil spirits.
We will explore what the Bible teaches about their origins, the part they play in evil and death, their tempting power, lying nature, supernatural displays, false religious establishments, and the reality about demon possession.
Most importantly, we will read about how powerless evil spirits are up against the authority of Jesus Christ. We will see examples from the New Testament where Jesus and his disciples set people free from the demons that had taunted, oppressed, or possessed them. We will examine the power that Christians today still have over Satan's forces in our every day lives.
Finally, we will look into the future and see the eternal destiny of evil spirits. It's not pretty. Satan will have a couple of last stands, but he will still not overcome the judgment that has already been set by our holy creator God.
