Undead Labs further discusses adding mutliplayer to ‘State of Decay’ post-launch (Photos)

Undead Labs took to their Twitter account yesterday to try to answer some questions about the possibility of adding multiplayer to their upcoming Xbox Live Arcade zombie gameState of Decay.” When directly asked if the zombie title would have a co-op mode, the developer stated, “Short answer, not at launch.” This has always been their stance on the game (it’s even in the official FAQ.)

However, when asked if they could confirm if this meant that multiplayer co-op would be added to “State of Decay” during a post-launch update, Undead Labs responded “we hope to, and we think we can, add multiplayer in the future.” Of course this isn’t an official statement from the developer claiming that co-op will certainly be coming to the zombie apocalypse game, it’s a good sign that they are definitely entertaining the idea of adding a multiplayer mode to the game at some point after its initial release.

State of Decay” is a zombie-filled Xbox Live Arcade title under development by Undead Labs. The game is likely to release in 2013 but no specific date has been announced.
