We often hear of dogs in the news, yet not every story is about a pleasant topic concerning dogs. The actual truth of the matter is that dogs are good. They have so much unconditional love to offer. There are great stories that reflect that.
The latest was published only yesterday by Bailey Woolum of KFOR-TV and NBC News. The story was about two dogs in China. The dogs were friends. The little white one was killed in the middle of a street by a passing car. Its friend, the brown dog would not leave the little one’s side despite dropping temperatures. It stayed with its friend throughout the night.
One resident of the area noticed the two dogs and placed a stool by them to save the brown dog from also getting hit and killed. When the little white dog was taken away and buried, the brown dog followed along behind, ensuring his friend had a proper burial.
This is not the first story of this kind. There are stories about other dogs in similar situations to the dogs in China. One dog is hit and killed. The other dog stays right by its side until which time someone came to take the dog away.
Those are just stories about dogs providing unconditional love to other dogs. What about all the stories of dogs and humans. One favorite is about the dog in Italy that still attends Mass each and every morning even though his owner has passed away.
Quite often we hear about dogs lying near the caskets of fallen service officials showing their dedication and support. The bonds that form if both canine and human served together are unbreakable until the bitter end.
One of the most famous stories of love and dedication was about Hachi. This true story was made into a movie that will make you both laugh and cry. It is a story that goes beyond the grave.
Although many people do not realize the deep down affection that their dog may have for them or may never see that love tested as in some of these cases, it does exist. True devotion is best displayed by dogs. They just have a knack for it.
If you are looking for unconditional love that cannot be matched by anyone or anything else, look for it in a dog. Dogs are truly ‘Man’s Best Friend’ and they will live their life proving that to anyone that may question it!
